About Me
I've turned to writing as an outlet, as a form of expression, as long as I can remember. After going to Columbia College Chicago's film school, I decided to pursue writing as my primary vocation. At school, I turned in pages upon pages every week, developing a habit of being able to take a task or assignment and run with it, then turning in work of the highest quality. It's a skill I am proud to take with me into the workforce. While in Chicago, I also contributed as a songwriter at ClearEar Studios, writing primarily lyrics and vocal melodies for instrumental tracks the studio produced. We worked together on songs for notable clients across the country. While there, I also started work on my own personal project: a pop punk album. With a recent change in priorities, the album has yet to be completed, but I've published two demos from the recording sessions online and am quite proud of them. In recent months, I began as a contributing film critic at Chorus.fm, where I am able to write about the films that move me, and am proud to have written on brilliant works such as Moonlight, Paterson, Certain Women, the Alchemist Cookbook, the Love Witch, and Martin Scorsese's Silence. Currently I am searching for the next chapter in my professional life, looking for a creative and passionate environment where I can utilize my creative skills to be a part of a productive team. I can't wait to create what's next.
